The Beer By Bike Brigade has become a huge hit in the La Crosse area. The group started as a way to meet new people, drink a beer or two, and ride bikes. It has grown into hundreds of people joining in on this once a month outing, and now, raising money to provides bikes and safety gear to donate to organizations in the community.  We are honored that the Beer By Bike Brigade has chosen Big Brothers Big Sisters of the 7 Rivers Region as their organization for 2017.

What does this mean? The group will have fundraisers throughout the year to raise money that will contribute to buying Little’s in our program a bike and the safety gear that goes along with it. This is so exciting for us, and for the kids who will be given the opportunity to receive a bike from such a genuine group of people.

Surly ‘Wednesday’ Fat Bike

Here’s what we know so far, and how you can participate!

The first fundraiser is a raffle for a Surly ‘Wednesday’ Fat Bike; a $1,500 value. It also includes a variety of pampering gifts from businesses in the area, including, but not limited to, River Rocks Coffee, Fayze’s, TEASE Salon, Pearl Street Brewery and many other businesses. The tickets are $20 each and there are only 200 tickets available, so get them while you can! They can be purchased in our office, 432 Division St., La Crosse or through the Beer By Bike Brigade Facebook Page. All the proceeds will go to supplying bikes and safety gear to our Littles.

The drawing for the bike will be on Saturday, January 21st at 2 p.m. at the third annual Chili Slam, another awesome fundraiser. This year, the event will be at The Radisson. The event runs from 11-2 p.m. and it costs $5 to get in and sample over 25 different varieties of chili, including vegetarian options and a cash bar. Again, every dollar will go towards providing deserving kids with awesome bikes.
