Enjoy Winter with These Fun Activities

Well, it’s almost over. The daunting, freezing, snow covered, never ending season of winter in the Midwest. With this frigid weather, people tend to stay indoors and pretend that the white, bitter coldness outside doesn’t exist, and that’s fine for a while. At some point, though, you must muster up the courage to bare the outdoors (even if it is only to pick up your Little to join you in some winter crafts). Here are some ideas for matches to do both inside and outside, during these last few months of winter.

Go Sledding

Imagine: a crisp, sunny Minnesota or Wisconsin winter morning, with fresh snow softly blanketing the ground. Such a scene begs for an exhilarating trip down a snowy hill. Take advantage of these last few months of winter by taking your Little on an enjoyable ride down a hill.

Paint the Snow:

Just warm enough to go outside? Play tic-tac-toe in the snow with food coloring! Fill a spray bottle with colored water and write in the snow. Change the way you play boring indoor activities with fun, unique twists.
