A growing number of grandparents are taking on an unexpected new challenge in their later years: raising their grandchildren. Grandparents are often raising their grandchildren after tragic circumstances, such as the death or incarceration of their children. With more responsibility, grandparents also have more financial burdens. They can find financial help and support as they are raising their grandkids.
The St. Clare Health Mission is operated with the support and involvement of interested individuals and health and social service agencies throughout the La Crosse area.
The Mission exists to provide preventive, primary health care, and specialty services for those without access to insurance and healthcare.
The Good Fight Community Center provides at-risk and disadvantaged youth (10-18 years old) of the La Crosse, WI area with hope, encouragement, and a safe environment to develop personal goals, discipline, and values that helps lift them out of poverty, provides them with training and opportunities, and motivates them to become productive members of society.
Our following core values:
-
Contemplation, reflecting upon the presence of God in our lives and work
-
Hospitality, welcoming everyone we encounter as an honored guest
-
Integrity, striving for honesty in everything we say and do
-
Service, working for the common good in the spirit of humility and joy
-
Stewardship, practicing responsible use of all resources in our trust
